Q  How long does it take to get a decision on a student visa?

      The earliest you can apply for a visa is 6 months before you start your course. You'll usually get a 

         decision on your visa within 3 weeks.

     A  Yes, however when you reach twenty-one (21) years old, you are required to convert to Student Visa.

Q  How long is the validity of the Student Visa?

     A  The first issue of Student Visa is valid for one year and the Student Visa extension is valid for six (6) months. 

         However, for the first extension of the Student Visa, the student is given an extension period that is 

         shorter than 6 months (either January 15 or July 15, whichever is nearer to the expiry date of the Student Visa). 

         Succeeding extensions follow the six-month validity period.
